For your consideration is a genuine $.50 CSA note, that features a vignette of the bust of Jefferson Davis, the President of the Confederacy.

Printed by Archer & Halpin in Richmond, VA. This $.50 note is in NET VERY FINE+ condition. We applied the "NET" grade, due to this note having hinge glue remnants on the backside.

Dated February 17th 1864. From the 1st series. Serial # stamped at the right side, 38359.

Dark printing. Nearly fully framed, but trimmed a bit tight at the left side. A handful of vertical folds and a horizontal crease in the middle. A few small pinholes. Some toning. No tears.

The front side has a nice look, and it is not until you preview the backside, do you see that this note was probably showcased in a scrap book by previous collector. A good example of why you must always demand to see the backside of all notes you wish to purchase.

A genuine issue from the Civil War at a good price. Your satisfaction is always guaranteed.
