Very crisp paper. No folds, tears, major stains, or ink erosion. Light orange color on the front side, giving this note a sharp look. The details are clear, exactly what collectors avidly search for in Confederate notes. Clement C. Clay looks sharp on this note.

Fully framed with a full borderline visible. Hand written signatures. A few small pinholes.

At first look, this note looks to be CHOICE UNCIRCULATED, but with careful examination of the backside, there are a few light handling creases evident.
