Engraved by Keatinge & Ball in Columbia, SC. Dated February 17th 1864. Plate letter C, with a period before each letter. Serial # 74762 hand written at the top right side. CHOICE ABOUT UNCIRCULATED+ condition.

Very crisp paper. No folds, tears, major stains, or ink erosion. Light pink color on the front side, giving this note a sharp look. The details are clear, exactly what collectors avidly search for in Confederate notes. Fully framed with a full borderline visible. Hand written signatures. No pinholes.

At first look, this note looks to be Uncirculated, but with careful examination of the backside, there are a couple light handling creases evident, seen mostly from viewing the backside. A small bit of staining also is seen on the backside.

If you like to buy notes based on eye appeal, then this one may be for you. Clement C. Clay looks sharp on this higher grade note.
