A genuine $1 CSA NOTE that features Clement C. Clay, the Confederate States Senator for Alabama from 1861 to 1863.

Engraved by Keatinge & Ball (in Columbia, SC). Graded to be in VERY FINE condition. Dated February 17th 1864. (F) plate letter, with a period before the left plate letter. Serial # 26640 hand written at the top right side.

Crisp paper. The details are dark and clear, exactly what collectors avidly search for in Confederate notes.

Extra margin at the bottom right corner, showing a portion of another note. Trimmed just a bit tight along the top right margin, keeping us from applying a "CHOICE" grade.

Several folds and creases. 1 pinhole. Minor ink staining on the on the backside.
