A genuine $1 CSA NOTE that features Clement C. Clay, the Confederate States Senator for Alabama from 1861 to 1863. Dated February 17th 1864. Engraved by Keatinge & Ball in Columbia, SC. Plate letter H, with a period before each letter.
Serial # 11197 hand written at the top right side. VERY FINE+ condition. Very crisp paper. Four folds and a few light handling creases. Nice orange color. Dark details. No tears, major stains, or ink erosion. Ample margin at the left side. Trimmed a bit tight at the right side. Hand written signatures. A couple small pinholes. Minor ink markings on the backside. A lightly circulated note that still retains plenty of eye appeal. Your satisfaction is always guaranteed.
