A genuine $1 CSA NOTE that features Clement C. Clay, the Confederate States Senator for Alabama from 1861 to 1863. Dated February 17th 1864. Engraved by Keatinge & Ball in Columbia, SC.
Serial # 11180 hand written at the top right side. Plate letter H, with a period before each letter. EXTREMELY FINE+ condition. Nice eye appeal. Sharp details. Very crisp paper. Hand written signatures. NO tears, stains, or ink erosion. Two light bends at the left side, and a slight bit of (bank teller) handling. Orange color on the front side. Nearly fully framed, but trimmed just a bit tight at the right side. A portion of another note is seen at the top right corner. Small ink dot at the top (extra) margin. A couple small pinholes. The bottom right corner shows a slight lack of printing. A note with plenty of eye appeal. Your satisfaction is ALWAYS guaranteed.
