Up for your consideration is a genuine $1 that is dated February 17th 1864. Engraved by Keatinge & Ball in Columbia, SC. Plate letter H, with a period before each letter. Serial # 11179 hand written at the top right side. CHOICE EXTREMELY FINE+ condition.

Very crisp paper. No tears, stains, or ink erosion. Orange color on the front side, giving this note a sharp look. The details are clear, exactly what collectors avidly search for in Confederate notes. Clement C. Clay looks sharp on this note.

Fully framed with a full borderline visible. Small ink dot at the top (extra) margin. Hand written signatures. A couple small pinholes.

At first look, this note looks to be CHOICE UNCIRCULATED, but with careful examination of the backside, there are two light bends at the left side, along with a couple light handling creases evident.
