Up for your consideration is a genuine $1 that is dated February 17th 1864. Engraved by Keatinge & Ball in Columbia, SC. Plate letter H, with a period before each letter. Serial # 11166 hand written at the top right side. EXTREMELY FINE+ condition.

Very crisp paper. Nice color on both sides. Clement C. Clay looks sharp on this note. Dark details. Nice eye appeal. Hand written signatures. No tears or major stains. One small bit of ink erosion outside of the frame line at the top (extra) margin, from the signature on the note that was above this on the sheet.

Fully framed on three sides, while trimmed just a bit tight at the right side. A portion of another note is seen at the left side. A couple small pinholes are noted. Very light toning at the right side.

No hard evidence of handling. One light bend at the left side, along with a few light handling creases.

A sharp looking note that is guaranteed to be a genuine issue for life. Your satisfaction is always guaranteed.
