Up for your consideration is a very nice $2 CSA note. Engraved and Printed by Keatinge & Ball. Dated February 17th 1864. Hand written serial number, 79586.

Graded and certified by PMG "CHOICE UNCIRCULATED 63 NET" with PMG noting on the backside that this note was "previously mounted".

Plate letter H; with the right plate letter almost "fallen" to the Treasurer's signature line. In his 2014 field edition, "Collecting Confederate Paper Money", Fricke has assigned this plate letter error a rarity of R11, 11 to 20 known, with two in the UNCIRCULATED grade in the condition census.

Nice color and eye appeal. Very crisp paper. Elaborately written signatures. Fully framed with a full borderline visible.

NO folds or tears, just a few light handling creases. No pinholes. The backside shows very faint remnants of being mounted as was previously done by past collectors. Also on the backside, is a portion of the CSA red palmetto tree control stamp, which is always desirable to find on a Confederate note.

Judah P. Benjamin, featured at the right side, broke down many barriers of prejudice and achieved great political power in the South. His achievements opened the door for many Jews to aspire to run for public office.

GUARANTEED to be an AUTHENTIC note from the Civil War era. Plus, it is already certified by one of the best independent grading companies in the business.
