Engraved and Printed by Keatinge & Ball. Dated February 17th 1864. Plate letter C with no periods before or after either letter. Hand written serial number at top right, 75828. Conservatively graded to be in CHOICE EXTREMELY FINE condition.

Crisp paper. Nice color. Vivid details giving way to exceptional eye appeal. The front appears to be UNCIRCULATED, but with scrutiny of the backside, there is seen a horizontal crease in the center, and a few other handling creases that don't readily stand out. No tears, stains, or major condition issues to mention.

Nearly fully framed. Trimmed just a bit tight at the left side. Fancy signatures and numbering.

Judah P. Benjamin, featured at the right side, broke down many barriers of prejudice and achieved great political power in the South. His achievements opened the door for many Jews to aspire to run for public office.

A quality note that presents very well in hand. GUARANTEED to be an AUTHENTIC note from the Civil War era.
