Up for your consideration is a very nice $2 CSA note. Engraved and Printed by Keatinge & Ball. Dated February 17th 1864. Plate letter F. Hand written serial number at top right, 56648. Graded to be in VERY FINE+ condition.

Crisp paper. Dark details. Fully framed on three sides with ample margins, while trimmed a bit tight at the right side.

Nice color. Fancy signatures. One horizontal creases, and then 6 vertical folds. A few handling creases beyond that. No tears, or major condition issues to mention.

Judah P. Benjamin, featured at the right side, broke down many barriers of prejudice and achieved great political power in the South. His achievements opened the door for many Jews to aspire to run for public office.

A nice looking note that circulated, and has no major condition issues. GUARANTEED to be an AUTHENTIC note from the Civil War era.
