Up for your consideration is a very nice $2 CSA note. Engraved and Printed by Keatinge & Ball. Dated February 17th 1864. Plate letter B with no periods before or after either letter. Hand written serial number at top right, 18469.

Conservatively graded to be in CHOICE ABOUT UNCIRCULATED+ condition. Vivid details giving way to exceptional eye appeal. Dark printing. Crisp paper. Nice color that is pushing towards dark orange. Fancy signatures and numbering.

Essentially UNCIRCULATED, with just a couple light handling creases, that don't readily stand out. NO folds, bent corners or pinholes. No tears, stains, ink erosion, or other major condition issues to mention.

Fully framed with a full borderline visible. A bit of a rough cut at the top margin, gives a reminder that these notes were hand cut apart from large sheets, and not machine cut as done today. That is one aspect that makes Confederate currency unique to collect.

Judah P. Benjamin, featured at the right side, broke down many barriers of prejudice and achieved great political power in the South. His achievements opened the door for many Jews to aspire to run for public office.

An high grade example that features outstanding eye appeal. You will like this note, I guarantee it.
