Engraved by Keatinge & Ball in Columbia, SC. A nice looking $10 note that is dated February 17th 1864. Plate letter E, series 8. Serial # 86261 hand written on each side.

Dark printing. The central design is sharp and clear. Crisp paper with a few light folds and creases. A couple pinholes. Nice color on both sides. Trimmed a bit tight at the right corner areas. A slight bit of staining. No other major condition issues to mention.

Nice signatures. Signed by Sarah Pelot at the bottom left. Her relative Michael McNeil wrote the 2004 book "The Signers of Confederate Treasury Notes 1861-'65", where he also catalogs all the notes signed by Sarah Pelot.
