Engraved by Keatinge & Ball in Columbia, SC. A genuine $10 note dated February 17th 1864. Plate letter D, with a broken left plate letter. Series 4. Serial # 83707 hand written on each side. VERY FINE+ condition.

Very nice eye appeal. Crisp paper. Dark printing. Light red color on the front with a blue reverse. A few folds and creases evenly scattered across the paper that don't readily stand out. Nice signatures and clear numbering. No tears. A couple pinholes. Minor ink stain on the reverse.

Nearly fully framed. Trimmed just inside the line on the left side margin. Extra margin at the right side margin showing a portion of another note. That note would have been to the right of this note on the sheet, before it was cut apart. This note uniquely shows one example of what makes Confederate notes very interesting to collect.

A mid grade note that has several nice aspects going for it. You will like this note, I guarantee it.

Price: $65.00
