Engraved by Keatinge & Ball in Columbia, SC. Dated February 17th 1864. Hand signed at the bottom in two places. Hand written serial number at the left and right side, which clearly reads 79908. Plate letter B, series 2 hand drawn. FINE condition.

A note that has passed through many hands during the Civil War, but still is fairly presentable. The paper is crisp and the details are still clear. Good color on the front and back. Several folds and creases. A couple pinholes. No tears.

Nearly fully framed but trimmed just a bit tight at the right side. Some staining from handling.

A note that did not just sit in a bank vault during the War, but was circulated for goods and services. Hold history in your hands for less then the cost of a dinner out.
