A genuine $10 issue that is dated February 17th 1864. Engraved by Keatinge & Ball in Columbia, SC. Plate letter C. Series 10, hand written.

Hand written signatures and a hand written serial number which reads 64754. FINE+ condition.

Features a unique error at the right plate letter, with a line under the C. Fricke lists it as PF-67 Unlisted, "C" over "A", with a rarity of 15 on page 512 in his 2014 field guide.

Crisp paper. Dark printing. Nice red color on the front side. Roughly cut, showing a portion of another note at the top left. Nearly fully framed, but trimmed tight at the right side margin.

Evenly circulated with numerous light creases. Minor edge nicks but no major tears. Some staining on the backside. One pinhole.

A note that features nice red color, a handwritten series number, and a unique plate letter error that does not surface too often. If you like to collect confederate notes with unique errors, this one will be a nice addition for you.
