A genuine $10 Confederate note, dated February 17th 1864. Engraved by Keatinge & Ball in Columbia, SC. Serial # 58852 hand written on both sides. Series 7. Plate letter H, with the right plate letter tilted inward. VERY FINE condition.
Very crisp paper. Nice red color on the front side with good clarity showing troops pulling a cannon. The backside is dark blue, with some staining. Several folds and creases. No tears. No pinholes. Fully framed on two sides, while hand trimmed tight at the right and bottom margins. Dark printing. Elaborately written signatures. This was one of the most heavily printed Confederate notes, and makes a good starter note for a collection. Your satisfaction is always guaranteed.
