Up for your consideration is a nice $10 note dated February 17th 1864. The center shows horse drawn artillery. R.M.T.Hunter, who served as Secretary of State, and was a Confederate Senator, is shown at the lower right.

Engraved by Keatinge & Ball in Columbia, SC. Dated February 17th 1864. Hand signed at the bottom in two places. Hand written serial number at the left and right side, which reads 5255. Plate letter G. Series 1, hand drawn and slanted. VERY FINE+ condition.

Dark printing. A few light folds and creases. NO tears. Some light staining. Very crisp paper. Two pinholes. Strong signatures and numbering.

A circulated note that features the "slanted 1st series". Guaranteed genuine for life.
