Engraved by Keatinge & Ball in Columbia, SC. Dated February 17th 1864. Plate letter D. Series 7. FINE+ condition. Hand written serial number which reads 48047.

Dark printing. Decent color on both sides. Numerous folds and creases but the paper remains crisp. A couple pinholes. Some staining from handling is noted. Minor margin nicks, but no tears. Trimmed tight at the bottom and right side margin.

Ample margin at the top, showing a portion of another note. This is one aspect which makes Confederate notes very interesting to collect.

A circulated note that still retains plenty of appeal, despite have some condition issues. Guaranteed for life to be an authentic issue from the Civil War.
