Up for your consideration is a genuine 1864 $10 Confederate note. Engraved by Keatinge & Ball in Columbia, SC. FINE condition. Dated February 17th 1864. Hand signed at the bottom in two places. Plate letter F, series 2. Serial #37047 hand written on each side.

Dark details. Crisp paper with numerous folds and creases. Good color on both sides. Several pinholes. Some staining.

Fully framed on three sides, while trimmed a bit tight at the top left. A portion of another note is visible at the bottom left, giving a reminder these notes were hand cut apart from large sheets, and not machine cut as done today. That is one aspect that makes Confederate currency unique to collect.

A genuine note that still retains a decent look. Guaranteed genuine for life.
