Engraved by Keatinge & Ball in Columbia, SC. A genuine $10 note dated February 17th 1864. Plate letter A, 1st series. Serial # 21877 hand written on each side. EXTREMELY FINE+ condition.

Crisp paper. Dark printing. Nearly fully framed. The central design is very clear.

Essentially Uncirculated, and most would grade it as such, as there are NO folds or hard creases. Just a few light handling creases are noted.

Nice color both sides. Some minor staining/toning is visible on the backside. Nice signatures and clear numbering. No tears. No pinholes.

A unique cut, showing a portion of another note at the right side and showing a portion of a second note at the bottom right corner area. Those notes would have been to the right and bottom of this note on the sheet. You have to remember that these notes were printed on large sheets, and then hurriedly cut apart by hand. This note uniquely shows one example of what makes Confederate notes very interesting to collect.

A mid grade note that has nice appeal, and shows a portion of two additional notes. Your satisfaction is guaranteed.
