Up for your consideration is one of the great rarities in Confederate currency, the 1864 $20 "DOUBLE RATIFICATION CLAUSE ERROR". With under 50 known to exist today, this is one rarity that most Confederate currency collectors seldom get a chance to obtain.

The upper RIGHT terms clause reads the "Two years after the ratification of a treaty of peace between..", which should be at the left side. The left terms clause is misprinted and reads "SIX MONTHS after the ratification of a treaty of peace between.."

Certified and encapsulated by PCGS "VERY FINE 25", with comments reading "Apparent Repaired Edge Split at Bottom Center".

Strong color on the front with dark details, leading to nice eye appeal. Nicely written signatures and numbering. FULLY FRAMED with a full borderline visible all around. Trimmed on the line at the top right corner area with the line still visible.

There are several folds and numerous creases, but the paper is still very crisp and holds up without any problems. Minor staining on the backside. The 5/16" edge tear at the bottom has been professionally closed very well.

A Confederate note which is always highly sought after. If you want a great rarity, this highly coveted error will be sure to please.
