Printed by Keatinge & Ball in Columbia, SC. Dated February 17th 1864. Series 5; serial #18377. Very conservatively graded and encapsulated by PMG "CHOICE ABOUT UNCIRCULATED 58" with comments on the backside reading EXCEPTIONAL PAPER QUALITY".
Dark details on the front. Crisp and clean on both sides with outstanding clarity. Just a bit of light "teller" handling, which is hard to make out, keeping this out of a higher grade. Nice signatures and numbering. NO folds, tears, bent corners, hard creases, or pinholes. Fully framed, with a full borderline clearly visible. Extra margin at the bottom showing a portion of the next note that was on the sheet it was cut from, which adds to the appeal. A ink smudge is at the top left corner, which was probably done by a printing official when counting these notes. A high grade note with exceptional eye appeal, that is already graded and certified for your assurance.
