Up for your consideration is a nice $100 note that features the Lucy Pickens in the center. Engraved by Keatinge & Ball, Columbia, S.C. VERY FINE condition.

Dated February 17th 1864. Serial # 64745 stamped in black. Series 1 at right side.

Nice color on both sides. Dark printing. Fancy, hand written signatures.

Crisp paper. Several folds and creases that don't readily stand out. One small margin nick at the lower left, outside of the frame line. Minor staining on the reverse.

Nearly fully framed, but trimmed tight in a couple areas. You have to remember that these notes were not machine cut during the War, but rather cut apart from large sheets by hand.

Overall, a pleasing example of this issue that circulated, and still retains nice eye appeal. Guaranteed for life to be a genuine $100 Confederate note from the Civil War era.
