Up for your consideration is a very nice Confederate $100 note. Printed by Keatinge and Ball in Columbia, SC. Dated February 17th 1864. Serial # 33216 stamped twice in black. Plate letter D. Series 2. CHOICE EXTREMELY FINE+ condition.

A sharp looking note with exceptional eye appeal. Dark details. Nice orange color on the front, with a dark blue reverse. Fully framed, with a full borderline visible.

Nice signatures. A very collectible signature at the bottom left by Sarah Pelot. Her relative Michael McNeil wrote the 2004 book "The Signers of Confederate Treasury Notes 1861-'65", where he also catalogs all the notes signed by Sarah Pelot.

Two vertical folds on the left side, and a few light handling creases at the right. Sharp, unbent corners. NO tears, major staining, ink erosion or hard evidence of circulation. Two pinholes.
