Up for your consideration is a genuine $500 Confederate note that is on consignment. Printed by Keatinge & Ball in Columbia, SC. Dated February 17th 1864. High serial number of 37309.

Conservatively graded by PMG to be in "CHOICE UNCIRCULATED 63 NET" condition, with comments on the backside noting a "Minor Repair, Small Tear".

One of the most popular notes with collectors as it is the only one to feature the great General Thomas Jonathan "Stonewall" Jackson, who was the most highly regarded Confederate Commander under General Robert E. Lee during the Civil War.

Vivid details. Exceptional eye appeal. Stonewall Jackson's picture is sharp. Features the highly desirable dark red color on the front. The paper is very crisp and clean. Nice signatures and numbering. Nicely cut with a full borderline visible.

No folds, creases, stains, ink erosion, or hard evidence of circulation. There is a small 1/16" edge tear at the lower right corner that has been professionally sealed with no paper loss.

If you have been looking for a UNCIRCULATED 489B Stonewall Jackson note, and don't want to pay upwards of $3,000 for one, here is an opportunity to get one with many nice aspects. Your satisfaction is always guaranteed.
