Up for your consideration is another interesting 1863 $100 CSA Note. Printed by J. T. Paterson in Columbia, S.C.

Dated January 8th 1863. Plate letters Af. Serial #68653 is handwritten in red ink. Conservatively graded to be in FINE+ condition.

Dark printing. Clear details, especially with the train image on the front. The paper has numerous folds but still presents fairly well in hand. Small margin tear at the right side. Numerous pinholes. Minor scattered staining .

On the backside, is a scarce hand issue endorsement from Major William E. Dyer, Assistant Quarter Master, reporting to General McCown, Army of the West.

Information on this endorsement, with pictures and signature comparisons, is confirmed in Mike McNeil's 2016 book "Confederate Quartermasters, Commissaries, and Agents" on pages 243-244.
