Printed by Hoyer & Ludwig, Richmond, VA. FINE+ condition. Dated July 25th 1861. Thin paper with "FOR" before "Treasr" printed. Plate letter D. Hand written serial number in red ink...83247.
A very pleasing example that features a nice look. FULLY FRAMED along with ample margins. Dark details. Strong, hand written signatures.
Numerous folds and creases, but the paper holds up well. Could possibly qualify as CHOICE by 3rd party graders. NO tears or ink erosion. No pinholes. Some scattered staining. Interestingly enough, there is light 'period' ink writing on the backside, which appears to be calculating the interest due to the note holder.
Even though this note is a mid-grade example, it has a lot of appeal to it, and should meet your expectations. |
