Printed by Hoyer & Ludwig, Richmond, VA. VERY FINE+ condition. Dated July 25th 1861. Thin paper with "FOR" before "Treasr" printed. Plate letter D. Hand written serial number in red ink...66592.
A very pleasing example that features a nice look. Dark details. Crisp paper. Strong, hand written signatures. Trimmed a bit tight at the lower margin.
At first glance, this note looks to be in AU condition. Upon careful examination of the backside under intense lighting, there are a handful of light folds and creases. NO tears or ink erosion. One pinhole.
Some light staining around the signatures, which appears to be from the ink used to sign the notes. When these notes were printed on large sheets to be cut apart, the sheets or individual notes may have been placed on top of each other before the ink was completely dry.
A tougher note to acquire. This one has a lot of appeal to it, and should meet your expectations. |
